My next thirty (plus) years

Happy birthday to me!

Just got back from a much-needed getaway to Arizona, where we encountered rain, temperatures under 70º, snow in the high desert, and wind. All I wanted was palm trees and sunshine.

I shoulda just gone to Florida!

Overall though, we had a great time. Got to see Sedona, all of metro Phoenix (love Scottsdale!), and best of all, a couple of Cubs spring training games. The team looked good in two wins. Even got to see Maddux pitch three innings on Sunday.

Today is all about recovery. I missed my animals so much I couldn't stand it. Got to reunite with the kitties last night when we (finally) got home. All three slept with me, molded to my body like furry little leeches of love. Picked up the dogs this morning and now my family is complete again.

Tonight - dinner at Bonefish Grill. YUM!
